MEET YOUR LEAD DETECTIVE

About Julie Weatherly

I’m Julie Weatherly, Esq., founder of Resolutions in Special Education, Inc., and I’ve spent decades helping school districts navigate complex special education challenges across the country. I’ve worked with educators, administrators, and legal teams on issues involving compliance, student discipline, dispute resolution, and special education systems improvement.

Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping districts make legally sound decisions while still keeping students, families, and staff at the center of the process. I believe strong systems and proactive communication can prevent many of the conflicts districts face today.

I regularly work with school districts, state agencies, and professional organizations nationwide on topics including IDEA compliance, manifestation determinations, staffing challenges, discipline, and dispute prevention. My goal is to help education leaders feel more confident navigating high-stakes situations.

In this series, I’ll walk through real district scenarios and provide practical guidance leaders can apply immediately within their own schools and teams. Together, we’ll explore strategies that strengthen compliance, reduce confusion, and support better outcomes for students.
